Pediatric 3D Echocardiography Conference

3D echocardiography provides better patient care as 3D echo is used for pre-surgical planning on heart valves to plan surgery better with the surgeons and to improve our diagnostic accuracy of the heart valve and structures.  We have also used 3D echo for evaluation of heart function as it is more accurate to evaluate heart function in 3 dimensions.  3D echo is used in the catherization lab to guide catheters so that we can reduce the use of radiation when children are undergoing catherization procedures.  We had many national and international people attend our 3D echo conference to learn how to perform 3D.
